Dr. Mason offers both teletherapy and in person appointments.

Entering or re-engaging in therapy is a big step towards prioritizing your emotional and interpersonal well-being.

I approach therapy from an interpersonal process lens, and prioritize our relationship, intentionally creating space for honest discussions and listening for themes and connections in your story. I believe that self awareness is essential to change because it gives you the ability to form links between your past and present in ways that feel stabilizing while also providing the grounding you need to better understand your emotional responses. I believe our identities and experiences within our families impact how we see ourselves situated in this world and to this end will help you explore your experiences at a pace that works best for you. I recognize that some days are meant for rest and recuperation and believe that developing a system for self-restoration is crucial for maintenance of emotional health. If you agree, I will work with you to strengthen ways to prioritize and care for yourself that fit with the life you envision.

My presence in therapy is influenced by my experiences as a South Asian woman, and former international student  born and raised in India.  My clinical interests include depression, anxiety, cultural adjustment, South Asian mental health issues, immigrant experiences and adjustment, international student difficulties, identity exploration, self-esteem and self worth, challenges associated with motherhood, imposter syndrome, life transitions and navigating oppression and discrimination. I also have experience and training with managing  grief, loss, interpersonal conflicts, trauma, relationship issues, and enjoy supervision and consultation.

Interpersonally, I am attuned, honest, creative, playful, compassionate and challenging when helpful.

In my personal time I am an avid plant propagator and nurturer. I also love creating DIY skin and hair care regimens and reading mystery novels on my time off.
