The Process of Therapy

Schedule a Free Consultation

The consultation is a 15 minute phone call and an opportunity for you to talk to the psychologist of your choice about what is bringing you into therapy and what you are hoping for. This is also an opportunity to ask any questions you may have for the therapist to help you assess if they are a good fit for your current needs.

Intake Session

The first session, the intake session, is a longer version of the consultation session. You and the psychologist will develop on some of the topics that were named at the consultation, explore immediate concerns, and begin identifying the areas you would like to focus on.

Ongoing Sessions

Therapy is an evolving process, with each session providing space for you to explore your experiences, reflect on challenges, and integrate new insights. Your therapist will regularly assess progress, adjust the approach as needed, and offer practical tools to support ongoing personal growth and emotional well-being.

Insurance

We accept the following PPO plans. While we are paneled with these insurance companies, each separate plan comes with a unique copay and deductible that is determined by your insurance company. Please call the number at the back of your insurance card before your first session to ensure you are informed of charges.
